This guy is posting from Baton Rouge. Who was that guy we banned from there a while ago? This doesn't seem like that guy, but you never know.

 
Yeah, JJ posts from Colorado and this guy from Louisiana. I have no idea if we banned a guy from Louisiana a while ago or not.

Can't say if he sounds familiar. Not sure.

Clever usernaming aside, could it be FLU?

There's also a Baton Rouge Husker from Louisiana (is he the same guy as FLU? he shows up as banned as well).

Nebraska Assassin: 70.172.240.174

FLU has at least one post from an IP matching the first two octets: 70.172.247.215

I'm not sure how significant/conclusive two octets is, but both do resolve to Cox in Louisiana from http://www.iplocation.net/

Something to keep an eye on, perhaps.

(BTW -- you can do this by searching "Find Members" or "Find Posts" with a wildcard. I searched both within IP Tools in the Mod CP for 70.172.*.*, example here). Members search didn't turn up FLU but the posts search was 41 pages long and it did. Nebrasaka Assassin is the only member under the 70.172.240.* wildcard)

Interesting, it seems that AR has taken the approach of "let's wait and see if he hangs himself" If it's one of those guys, they'll do it eventually...........

 
Whomever it is - sock puppet or legitimate new member - he's posted up a score in the Prediction Contest. At this time, given that we can't nail down that it's someone circumventing a ban, I'm going to let it stand. But if we determine it is, in fact, someone circumventing a ban, I'll disqualify the entry.

Put him on Mod Preview with the following warning:

You seem to be at the center of a lot of arguments in a short time. It is reasonable to suspect that you are more interested in causing problems and complaining that providing anything useful. You are being placed on Moderator Preview pending some explanation into what you're looking to accomplish here.

Have you been around HuskerBoard for some time but only recently activated an account? You seem to have jumped in with both feet.
