Fluellen to DB?

I remember Isiah Fluellen tearing up the field with some great runs...he's fast. And a junior, I believe? ... Or...was that Mark Leflore? Or...I'm so confused x_x After the West Coast shakeup, I've completely lost track of the receiver scene, who's who, and all.
Fluellen's best days were the last year of the option back when Lord was the QB.

Just read on another board that Spain has moved to DB also??? I don't know if I should belive that yet...it would surprise me because I looked for him to see the field receiving for us.

Well i think that he could be a good fit a DB 1. we know he has good speed 2. We know he can catch the ball

But he does lack the size and experince but hey thats the part of going out there and learing the position

Spain did move to DB. Sean Callahan reported it a little bit ago on ESPN Radio. He has good size, and if he can get the position down he will do well. His size will definately help against SC.

So are these two going to be playing corner or safety? We seem to be thinner at corner but I would prefer to move Brothers or Green to corner and have these two at safety.

Would I be right in thinking Spain played some Safety in juco?

Also, IMO, there is no way Fluellen would be moved to Safety. I think he would have to go to the cornerback position. He is just to small and thin to be a good Safety, he would get torn up.

From LJS:

Spain makes move to defense

Tyrell Spain has shifted from wide receiver to defensive back, Husker offensive coordinator Jay Norvell said after Tuesday’s practice.

The move comes as something of a surprise because the 6-foot-3, 190-pound junior was a highly regarded wideout coming out of Mesa (Ariz.) College last year.

"We’re just looking at some guys in different spots," Norvell said. "Tyrell’s played some defense (in the past), and we just put him over there to see how it goes."

Spain, who could play safety or cornerback, becomes the second Nebraska wideout to move to the defensive backfield this week, joining senior Isaiah Fluellen. The moves come on the heels of Zack Bowman’s season-ending knee injury suffered Saturday.

Norvell said Spain’s move "gives the guy a chance to maybe have a little role, to get on the field."

Spain had been working as second- or third-string wide receiver, Norvell said.

"He’s been having a good camp, but we wanted to see what he can do on defense," Norvell said.

The Spain-Fluellen moves tell me two things: Nebraska likes its newcomers at wideout and is looking for corners

They say he looks good.
