Flying Home for a Game

I understand your plight, I am returning to Boulder for the first time in what seems like forever this season to watch the Buffs at home. I choose Wyoming, I felt like it would be a decent matchup but at the sametime I wanted to see a "W". I went last year to the Florida State game in Tallahassee and I was semi-optimistic and indeed in the first half I thought we had a good chance to pull out the win but that Florida humidity cancelled that out. I want to atone but if I was in your shoes, passing up Oklahoma is very difficult.

Oklahoma....no brainer!! The 300th sellout will be fun with all of the fanfare but I guarantee the electricity in Memorial Stadium will not compare to what it will be like for the Oklahoma game. Nothing makes the game better than when the Sea of Red is going crazy (i.e. when the snow starting falling vs. Texas)!!!

One of the greatest days of my life was Thanksgiving Day 1971. It came shortly after I returned from over seas. What a great day that was. It was also amazing, and fitting. that the last game that was played between Big Eight schooul was Nebraska Oklahoma and we kicked their asses. I don't envy you your choice.

Good Luck,

:bonez :bonez :cheers :bonez :bonez
I wouldn't say we kicked their asses, but it sure was a great win. I had everyone in the room biting their finger nails to the quick, my father inlaw told me he had wached a lot of Husker games, but I had him so on edge when it was over, that he was shaking, lol.

GBR!!!

Can someone clarify or explain to me why there is so much hype regarding the 300th sellout? It's just another sellout and when the next home game comes along it'll be #301. Sorry but I just don't get what's so special about 300. Now if it was the 500th, or even 1,000th consectutive sellout then I could understand the hoopla...but 300?

:ahhhhhhhh

If 300 isn't special, why are 500 and 1,000?

It's special if you want it to be special, and most people look for things like this to be special, hence it is special. Really easy to understand.

Why not go to both games and enjoy one stepping stone and a memorable clash of titans: :)

Damn, I did not expect this much of a response. But you all have me thinking that OU is gonna be my choice. Thanks for the help!
