Follow the Plane!

"Finally, current Wake Forest Coach Jim Grobe could also be in the mix. A twin-jet Learjet 45 left Smith-Reynolds Airport in Winston-Salem, N.C. at 5:01 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and landed in Atlanta 53 minutes later."

The plot thickens!

I just went to FlightAware.com and found that the plane that left Winston-Salem, arrived at a different Atlanta airport, then went to Baton Rouge Metro airport (before the NE plane landed in Atlanta).

the NU plane, per earlier postings:

25-Nov-2007 C25B/L Baton Rouge Metro (KBTR) Fulton County (KFTY) 17:35 CST 19:48 EST 1:13

25-Nov-2007 C25B/L Lincoln (KLNK) Baton Rouge Metro (KBTR) 13:14 CST 15:10 CST 1:56

25-Nov-2007 C25B/L Karl Stefan Memorial (KOFK) Lincoln (KLNK) 12:11 CST 12:27 CST 0:16

the Winston-Salem plane:

25-Nov-2007 LJ45/L Dekalb-Peachtree (KPDK) Baton Rouge Metro (KBTR) 18:06 EST 18:14 CST 1:08

25-Nov-2007 LJ45/L Smith Reynolds (KINT) Dekalb-Peachtree (KPDK) 17:01 EST 17:54 EST 0:53

25-Nov-2007 LJ45/L Palm Beach Intl (KPBI) Smith Reynolds (KINT) 15:13 EST 16:37 EST 1:24

Ofcourse this plane is from Lamar LLC based in Baton Rouge.

The "Husker" jet is a Cessna CJ3 from Norfolk, NE. The jet that departed Winston-Salem is a Learjet.

It might just be a coincidence that a private jet flew from Winston-Salem to Atlanta. Atlanta is a pretty big business hub for the whole country.
What's the source on the Winston-Salem flight?

Also, it's been widely reported that the search firm we are using is based in Atlanta, so I imagine that's why they flew there. Mostly to thwart all the "I have a friend that works at Duncan Aviation in Lincoln" posts that would have come otherwise.

I heard someone on 1620 that seemed very knowledgeable about Grobe and he said Grobe would be an excellent hire for Nebraska. Yet there are other factors to consider such as he is very loyal to his people and would insist on bringing all his current assistants. Plus he recently signed a ten year contract extension that would have to be dealt with. He also said Grobe would also have to give up RJR bonus money.
