For the betting population.....

I'm on Mizzou Thursday Friday. Seven points, seems like easy money. Am I missing something?

Get ready to write the check, oops, the books don't take checks, you better have the cash ready.

Okay...early thoughts on the:

MIZZOU vs NEBRASKA game?

I'm thinking Mizzou -4.5

Rationale: Home team usually gets 3 points 'credit' in betting circles and I think Mizzou should be favored by another point or two. Ergo, my 4.5 point spread.

Other than the usual barage of posts calling Mizzou names (Mizzery, Meth U, Missu are some), what do you think the spread will be?
Mizz is picked to win by 7.5 over NV this week and the line wasn't listed for Nebraska the other day. Should NU roll like they are picked to (usually why there is no line) and MU wins by just over a TD, you might see NU picked by a couple pts to win the game in Mizzou based on the fact that they aren't getting much respect in Vegas this week.
ScoresAndOdds.com have Mizzou as a current 7 point favorite.

If you click on the FREE MATCHUP advice, they actually think Mizzou is the 16 point favorite green star lock.

Nebraska is listed as a 27.5 point favorite

I n't think the spread would reach as high as 7. I was thinking at most 5 or something. I guess it is a home game though.

I think 16 is closer to what it will be (probably be more). I've already put some green down on 'em this week, because 7 or 7.5 isn't enough. I see NV laying another egg, but this time at home.

Isn't this a violation of some type of code or something?

A Husker fan betting on Mizzou?

<_<

Nevada sucks. It's at home, but who cares. The team has done nothing on offense and defense. They lay a big egg at home.

It definitely pains me to bet on them, but its the logical choice given the fact that I think they'll destroy NV. Its a win-win situation - I win the bet OR mizz loses (of course they could still win and not cover).
