Former Huskers coach high on Paul

My response, why the hell didn't brooks ever play ted? Until you answer that you need to shut up before you wreck yourself. And my true feelings are better summed up in 4 pages of symbols.
No kidding. Brooks is on an NFL roster!! His lack of touches was absolutely criminal. Incompetence. Pure incompetence.
I agree.

And in response to something Zoogies posted:

As poor a job as he did, I think Gilmore has a clue what he is talking about.
It was pretty obvious that Niles was a good to great talent. Any idiot could figure that out, so no props to Ted for shedding light on the obvious.
The better question would be: "Ted, why did you have certain guys (like Niles or Enunwa) waste a year or eligibility so that they could play only a few plays?"

Niles wasted his eligibility because he insisted on playing. I think that's what happens with a lot of freshmen. Niles has I believe admitted as much himself, or maybe that was Lucky, I don't remember. Thinking they were good when they really should have been more humble and taken the year.

I don't know why guys like Dennard or Enunwa waste a year, but maybe it's something similar?

He didn’t have big numbers but we didn’t have a quarterback to get him the ball.
That fails to explain why Kinnie managed to have better numbers than Paul.
Overstatement

Kinnie had 5 more catches in 2 more games. I guess he did have 5 tds to 1 td for Niles though but Paul had more yards and averaged more yards per catch.

Paul only returned two kicks for touchdowns that I can remember, one in 2009 against CU and one in 2010 against Ok. St.

I never thought Paul looked very fast myself. I don't think Paul will return kicks in the NFL. He'll either improve his consistency and become a wide receiver or he'll fall of the map.
THe CU return was on a punt. He did return a kick against San Jose State.
I said kicks to mean both punts and kickoffs.

Forgot about the SJSU one, so thanks for that.

Either way, all three of those teams have poor special teams play.

I'm just guessing maybe if he had a better position coach he might have had better success. chuckleshuffle
