Fox Projects Huskers in Alamo Bowl

I am not sure if this has been posted elsewhere but on the Fox Sports website they have bowl predictions. Nebraska and Penn State are projected for the Alamo Bowl. To get this prediction I think they are assuming that Nebraska will loose to Texas and Missouri, that those two teams will meet in the championship game and Texas will win sending Texas to the Fiesta Bowl to play Notre Dame and Missouri to the Cotton Bowl to play Arkansas. Oklahoma would get the Holiday Bowl as the number three team and Nebraska the Alamo as the number four team.

While I would certainly like to see Nebraska in another bowl game I was kind of hoping for a trip to Dallas and the Cotton, which would mean Nebraska would make the championship game and loose. Of course I would really like to see the Huskers win it all but I think we are still a year or so away from that.

Well, if that does turn out to be true and considering that we haven't lost a game in San Antonio, chalk up another Hukser victory!!

People will always try to predict the bowl games. The only way to negate their assumptions is to stomp the rest of the big 12 and teabag the BCS committee. :horns2

the projection for the alamo bowl is with losses to A&M and texas and missing the title game. They can keep the projection.

 
Doesn't the Alamo bowl have a say in this as well. I can't see them bringing us back two years in a row. Maybe I am wrong in thinking this way.

I think the Alamo Bowl would like us coming back. Nebraska has a huge following. Large enough that any major bowl would like us. Plus we are getting all those Texas recruits this year. It works for us as well.

 
There is so much that could happen the rest of the season I don't think you can trust anyone who is predicting the bowls right now...........I would love for us to go back to the Alamo Bowl though for reasons stated above!!!! However; a bowl game better than the Alamo would do just fine!!! :)

 
The Alamo has been as good to us as we have to them. personaly I would love to play in a BCS bowl. Will it happen, I don't know. one thing is for sure though, after we kick ksucks a$$ we will go to a better bowl than them.
