Terrell Newby's film is just insane. At the very least, I hope he gets used as a returner. I'd love to see him in the diamond formation as well. The guy is an absolute homerun hitter.

Wow, Maliek Collins. It's almost not fair having him play high school ball last year. I was feeling sorry for the other teams by the end of the video. It looked like a grown man playing against 6th graders. :lol:

Johnny Stantons film is insane too...

I don't get too excited about high school kids, but that was insane. I don't think a single play went by that I didn't say "Ooh!" or "Whoa!" on. The one where he was basically sacked in the backfield, broke two tackles, juked the LB and dove for the pylon I just laughed at. That's like video game stuff.

There is a lot of reasons to be excited about what we have coming. As much as I want this year to be fantastic, if it turns out like the other years (only maybe a bowl win), I can live with that.

Yep. With all this exitement over all of our other LB's his name kind of gets lost in the shuffle, but he may be the best of all of them.

We've gone from being very thin at QB to having a log jam. There will be a WAR at QB for the job this spring. I expect Johnny to give TA all he can handle.

Unfortunately I don't see it lasting long. As great as these kids seem to be in character, who's going to stick around? Certainly not all of them. If TA wins the job, Johnny won't get a shot (barring injury) until his senior year. If JSIV wins it, Tommy certainly wouldn't be expected to stick around as a backup his entire career. Not even mentioning any of the other guys.

Terrell Newby has some of the best highlights I've seen. Half the time I end up shaking my head saying "why is this play in a highlight package" and somehow he finds the tiniest gap and breaks it for a TD. Unreal.

As far as the QB battle goes - I could actually see Johnny staying until his senior year, I think he just loves the Husker brand of football. I think he also knows (if TA wins the job) his health is not a given. I think ZD may transfer. I truly think next year is between TA and Johnny.
