Fresno St. Tailgate!!!!!

Eric the Red

Team HuskerBoard
Looking for some ideas.

What airport would be best, most convenient? San Fran, San Jose, Fresno?

What hotels to get or stay away from?

alumni /husker bar hangout?

Fresno is definitely the closest airport by far as opposed to anything else you listed, and I think there is one flight into it from Denver, otherwise you're probably better off going through la or Vegas. It's likely also going to be pretty pricey.

Driving the 5th wheel toy hauler up Thursday for set up for tailgate. Should be there in the late evening.

You might try Ontario, and drive up from there, you can miss the LA and Grapevine traffic going the back way up 395 and across to Bakersfield. Cost should be close to LA. Roughly 250 mile drive to Fresno. I never go through LA or close to it if I can avoid it.

Polo, are you going. Dude says he is coming to steal your truck. You can park it in my trailer if your scared. lol

Whose coming for the game. If enough interest we will have a big tailgate

We are coming down day of, isn't that far from NorCal. Gonna try and get a good tailgate spot but I'm a little dim on where to park for such a place.

Polo, do you want to work together on this. I have a huge trailer, lots of shade, barbeque and most likely food and soft drinks for 100 to 150 if need be. I will provide a couple of cases of beer. Do not drink, so don't spend money on it. I will do like we did at the USC tailgate. Have large coolers, and if, not required, but if there are donations, all that will go back into buying beer/drinks. We will have chicken, hotdogs and hamburgers, and the famous chips I send back for the spring game. Hopefully I can get them there without destroying them. lol

If enough are coming out or to the game, I will contact Fresno State and find out about tailgate parking. I have never been to their stadium, so have no idea how they handle it.

Either way, my plan was for myself, mrs NUpolo8 and possibly two other people to trundle down midday. We have grills, shade, and the means to buy things. I think we're staying just north of town at a place my wife uses when she's down there.

Your more than welcome, and any that make it out.

For the SC game we had to be there Friday to get room. I doubt it will be as crazy as LA, but have no idea how much room they have. Being in California, there should be a good turn out of Nebraska fans. I think at the SC game, we hosted this board and another board. We fed more than 200 hundred but not sure on the actual number. It was a great weekend, to bad we lost, but had a good time with the SC fans in the lot. They packed us in like sardines though.

Polo, do you or anyone else have knowledge of their tailgating area? I will have Patti check with Derron's mother and see if he has any ideas, doubtful, but worth a try.

There are two areas on I believe the east and west ends that are built for that. And from what I've heard it's never that crowded, but you never know.

Have been with with skersfan for a couple games tailgating. Everything he is putting together will be top of the line and the comradery even better.

Hey guys!

My friends and I will be driving up from LA and would love to join the tailgate! We'll chip in money for food/drinks/booze...but also can we bring anything? ALSO...where are you guys getting your tickets from? I looked online and the cheapest ticket I can find right now is $100...that seems a little pricey for Fresno State...?

We bought ours through Fresno State, 65.00 bucks, but most likely sold out now. Go directly to their ticket sales site on their website.
