What aircraft should do the flyby for the Fresno State game?

If they could emulate whatever there was for the 08 Kansas game, I want that. F16's I think? I'm not terribly knowledgeable able military aircraft.

 
I hope it's not Chinooks! I would hate for our Government to think they are loaded with Special Forces and have them shot down over the stadium! Then we would have this whole crappy Black Saturday thing going on. :blink:

There was absolutely a fly over before the Chat game. I must have been the only one with good enough vision to see the Stealth fly over in stealth mode.

Now, the Blue Angels would be pretty cool I admit.

But Blackhawks? Chinooks? I'll take a group of Apaches if it's gonna be helicopters.

My first choice however is

I'm glad you guys get overly excited about fly-by's. 22 years in the Air Force and I don't even bother to look anymore at what is flying over or taking off.

And whoever suggested the F-22 Raptors...they're grounded until further notice.

 
Just for pure BA sound I always loved F-18s , nothing sounds as loud or pissed off to me. So the blue angles would be my #1 choice.

What happened to the F-22s?

I was out on vine street fields at about 5 oclock this evening and a blue angel flew over us. Take it fwiw I suppose. They could just have been training for their show.

I'd love to see the Blue Angels, but yeah, I don't think that'll happen with the PR they usually do after at the air show. Would be fun! On a totally unrelated... or semi-related note... knapp, you don't live too far from us. We live in the Highlands. :)

 
A Fresno State Flyby? Is that like a Cleveland Steamer or a Dirty Sanchez? Is there an Urban Dictionary entry for that?

All six of them just took off about ten minutes ago, wheeled around the air field and came back, south-to-north, then peeled off one by one with all six afterburners facing my house. They didn't even have them opened up and it was LOUD.

If you're in Lincoln right now, go outside and look up. They flew off over the city, and they're probably going to come down O Street in formation like they did five years ago to "announce their presence."
