Fresno State has lost 17-straight games to ranked opponents. That streak started back in 2005 when the Bulldogs held a fourth-quarter lead over the No. 1-ranked USC Trojans, but could not hold on for the victory and fell 50-42. Since that loss, Fresno State has not defeated another ranked team. Its last win over a ranked opponent was an overtime victory over No. 18 Virginia in the 2004 MPC Computers Bowl. Saturday's game Nebraska will be the 37th game against a ranked opponent in the last 20 years. Fresno State has won just five of the previous 36.
