Friday Night Home Games

Chancellor Ronnie Green telling the B1G that Nebraska isn't going to do the grunt work if other schools aren't either. I like it.

 
When you are Nebraska, you shouldn't have to ever play Friday games. I was pissed when I realized that Illinois was a Friday game. I was half thinking of going until seeing it was on a Friday.

 
What does "another" mean. How many are we on the hook for right now (home or away)

On Friday, 9/29/17, Nebraska plays a game at Illinois. 

On Saturday, 9/30/17, Memorial Stadium will host high school games.  Isn't it ironic?


 
On today's TBL Husker round table, the OWH guys alluded that the UNL faculty and the student senate were instrumental in pushing to no more Friday night games. In their opinion, the Friday games would be too big of a disruption to Friday classes.  They took their thoughts to the new chancellor and he basically told Eichorst to not agree to any more Friday games.

Good. Leave Friday games for schools that absolutely need them for national exposure.

To circle back around to where this started, that may have been why Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State or whoever refused right from the start.  They would have some 20,000 more people trying to get on campus for their games than we would.  Parking alone would be quite the headache to go along with everything else.

I don't know if that was their reason.  But it would make sense.
