Assessing the talent: Ball hawking athlete that plays for the powerful, legendary Millard North team in West Omaha. He leads his team in rushing at halfback on offense and plays safety on defense. Last year he sat out a year because of injury and is now starting to get the attention of D-1 programs. He has the size and speed to play in the Big 12. Don’t let stars form services fool you, he can play. I think the injury, as it does with most players, pushes their “status” down until they play again.

Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 92% A kid from Nebraska with an offer from his home state school is always a lean for the Huskers and this kid is no different. I expect his recruitment to be similar to Zack Potter’s. I think he may check out a school or two and then give the nod to the University of Nebraska.

I dont care how big you are, 4.39 is legit speed. Does he have the hips and technique to play corner? or are we looking at him safety only. I would like to get as much talent on the field as possible, and him and Jackson competing to play at the same spot doesnt sound appealing to me.

I believe we are recruiting Mouton as a safety.
That is correct. We are recruiting him as a safety. Particularly for the free safety position. Someone asked me earlier where A.J fits in and A.J Wallace is being recruited as a safety to hopefully replace Daniel Bullocks next year or at least provide immediate depth and backup at that position which is VERY thin with experience

Back to the topic at hand. I would say that the odds he ends up a Husker are 95%. He has dreamed about playing for Nebraska since he was young, and i don't see an Iowa St or Iowa or even Kansas St coming in and hcanging his mind. I would say officially we have 12 recruits so far on the season (11 if you dont want to count Matt Saluson, but Matt will be using up a scholie from this class)

Season Stats: 65 rushes for 922 yards (avg 14.1) and 12 touchdowns. 10 Punt returns for 175 yards, 4 kickoff returns for 78 yards.

Last game against Westside, Corey had 17 rushes for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns to go with his catch for 29 yards Link

Great info Nameless. I sure hope you're right about him commiting. I'm always excited to pick up talented in-state kids.
There the glew that holds the team together. They spread the love.

dedhoarse Hello, corey young (mill. north) just received his 2nd scholarship offer, which happens to be from colorado state, & of course they are recruiting him as an ath. - which is of course something that would appeal to him, since csu is willing to give him a shot at rb (somewhat reminiscent of hicks in 2001 who wanted a shot at rb - which was not offered to him at UN, therefore he picked isu).

Well, he now holds 2 scholarship offers, & he now wants to wait & see what is available for him - which could mean that maybe he is waiting for another offer maybe from iowa - remember that tarpinian (a school mate who has verbelled to iowa, & shada & olsen now at ia were mill north grads - if young is waiting on a schollie from ia, then I have one question - what is with the mill north football coach? ( answer: he must have been a good ol' friend of solich's) :woo
