Fumble

Anybody else think that fumble happened because the refs refused to call the play dead? It was darn close, but it looked like Martinez had just enough for the first, got stuck up and just kept pushing (as he should). At this point the refs should blow it dead... but they didn't. A QB sneak like that, where the QB is reaching for the 1st, is a play that's asking to get the ball stolen. Waiting to blow it dead just makes it 10 times more likely.

Yea I question that fumble by Martinez. It was during the 2nd effort that Martinez had the ball stripped from him. I honestly thought the ball was going to Imani Cross on that play.

Line push on that play was pathetic. They looked like chumps on the last two series in general.

Should've still been a first-down though because Taylor totally got facemasked. Probably doesn't get stripped if not for the facemask.

Yeah it happened and Martinez had it in his bad arm, then the strip. It looked like during the second effort he had the first and then the ball was ripped out. I recall because I had just said "Watch beck call a QB sneak because Martinez's shoulder is hurting, that's exactly what we need", next thing you know there it is. Imani should have gotten the handoff and we had the first, but Beck well full handicapped again.

Can you imagine the disaster that would have ensued if our player hadn't tripped up that defender that grabbed the ball? Was a WHOLE lot of running room ahead.

Again, issues with discipline and ball security -- running back running out of bounds on our last drive to save Wyoming a timeout and Martinez almost allowing a disastrous fumble return.

Wow.. .I didn't know we fumbled either. Just thought it was so pathetic that we couldn't move an inch against wyoming. I probably threw something.

I thought he was down by forward progress, as did the announcers.

Had Wyoming run it back for a touchdown they would have reviewed it, called Martinez down and given Wyoming the ball exactly where they did.

Let's not forget that second offense series where the snap rolled past Martinez, way past, and he picks it up and chucks a miracle deflection/completion.

Things could actually have been worse yesterday.

Worst play call of the game..why go up the middle again when it hasn't worked most of the game especially when Taylor has the ball. Every time in the game we went outside, I think we never lost yards. Why don't we do to them what Wisconsin did to us and beat them to the outside?
