I doubt they show up Friday night, they will probably be in Lincoln no later than 2:00 PM on Friday, they may or may not do a walk around practice and then see a movie or something. Don't be surprised if Mora shows up at Calvin Strong's game on Friday night.

Guess you know more than Damon Benning who said this was straight from his friend in the AD. Most teams stay in Omaha btw, and get a police escort to the stadium.

There are tons. They're also full of Husker fans.

I have a hard time believing they didn't try to secure hotel rooms months ago. If so that's a huge error for their AD. They've known they were coming for years. Why wait for rooms?

I can see there not being hotel rooms in Lincoln - although, like you said, they should have secured rooms months ago - but no rooms in Omaha? Really?

Only thing I can imagine is that they locked up Friday night months ago at one of the hotels in town. When the time came out as 11AM they probably tried to get two nights at the same hotel, but getting a block of rooms that big takes a commitment way out from the date. I am sure they don't want to move hotels between two nights or split up their players all over a hotel, that is tough to manage.

And schools stay in Omaha, because Lincoln really doesn't have enough big hotels to support a team and all the support staff. The home team takes one off the board already. Probably helps keep distractions down by staying out of town too.

am i the only one who thinks having a bye week before this game is meaningless, if not counterproductive? it is week three. who is tired (other than clowney)? and like we were not planning any less for ucla because of wyo and so. miss. this is our biggest game until november and i would imagine the glorified scrimmage against so. miss helped us more than a bye helped ucla.

 
I keep thinking that our defense played that bad last year, and we still only lost by 6 points. I'm hoping it will only take a slight improvement to walk away with a W. A big improvement has us clear by 2+ scores.
