We have quite a few members that have joined since last season, so this is a good time to let you in on a custom we have on HuskerBoard regarding posting during a game. Don't worry - this won't take long, and there's no test at the end.
In an effort to kind of keep things clean and readable, every game day we start an "Official XXX Game Discussion Thread" in this forum. It' opens about 30 minutes before kickoff. We ask that everyone post their game comments in that thread. It helps keep things sort of sane - before we started doing it, we'd get eleventy bazillion threads going. Literally, we'd have three pages of new topics - no way to read all of them.
Now, if you have something that isn't game related, by all means start a topic. But if it is game related, please post in the "Official" thread.
After the game, back to normal. But be sure and check the other topics - there's a chance that someone has already started a topic similar to one you want to start. If so, post in there. That saves our tender digits from bleeding from merging all those topics on the same subject.
Also, remember that the Prediction contest gets locked about the same time the "Offical" thread gets started - 30 minutes prior to kick off. So get your predictions in.
