Game on September 17th

All-American
SIAP, but I saw this on SI this morning. Polk is a tough runner, I didn't think the back ups for UW were near his caliber from what I saw. He did average just over 103 yds/game rushing, which was good enough for 17th best nationally. I would be interested to hear a UW fan's take on this though.

SI.COM - Polk dismissed by Huskies, charged....

Easier? I don't know as that is kind of relative... I think we blow them out no matter what they bring to the table. But losing Polk isn't going to make it any easier for Washington to keep themselves in it.

This game is going to be a blood bath, with or without Polk. I believe Bo and the players will be looking for a little revenge.

Being without Polk and Locker gone should give us the win, not much known on Keith Price or if he's even starting.

obviously wrong polk, but they don't win without Locker period.

Polk is good, but in the first game Jesse Collier was the freshman RB that gashed us for some big runs. Having both of them to contend with will be tough. If they have anyone that can duplicate alot of what Locker was capable to do, then look out this game will definitely be a tough one, especially with out recent history SUCKING at home.

Chris Polk and Jesse Collier are going to be the 1-2 guys.

If this game is anything close to resembling a "tough one", it's going to be a long season next year

You are kidding right? You understand that washington will never be the washington we've seen the past 4-5 years when willingham was there. Sark has that program headed no where but up. This day and age, there are NO gimmes EVER. Get over it, enjoy football and watch us win, regardless of the score.

Sorry, no. Last year when the game mattered we killed them. The 2nd game which didn't matter they played it like their season was on the line, we played it like an early spring scrimmage going total vanilla on offense, played base defense and just tried to stay healthy... and they still barely won the game. If it's anywhere near a close game at the start of the 4th quarter, we're probably going to have trouble the rest of the year.

Please do not delude yourself. You make it sound like NU simply did not care about winning and that is why we got beat. No. NU was simply bested, and in a game that mattered. NU showed no heart and were a divided team... that much is true... and that factored in hugely... but the game nattered and UW beat us (more soundly than the score would seem to indicate).

For this next season, all offensive scheming and such aside, the real issue is this... does this NU team have heart? Last years team, generally, did not. Hopefully that changes.

The UW game last year was testimony of NU playing w/o be prepared and w/o heart. Hopefully we never see that again.

hell, Locker didn't beat us, the guy as a passer was pathetic, totally unimpressive...our O and D lines played like cheerleaders.....

Locker was disgustingly overrated. Until he ran into that Blackshirt secondary that is.
Locker was an above board QB, but we made him look like flat out re-fried dogsh*t, at his "house". I'm not sure whoever they'll be rolling out at QB and RB, but whoever it is, I kinda feel sorry for them. They get left with having a team with a bad taste left in it's mouth over the Holiday Bowl.

Robsker, we got beat in the bowl game because the majority of our team didn't care. This has been covered ad nauseum in other threads, but from tweets to FB posts to the action on the field, it was obvious that many of our guys had no interest in being at the game, felt slighted by the fact that they were there, and they massively disrespected Washington.

You can call that no heart, bitterness, being distracted, whatever. But to say that Washington was a better team than Nebraska is incorrect. The best team did not win that bowl game.
