Very nice of them.

According to this George Darlington interview on Sharpe and Benning, Darlington was interviewed extensively for the piece, as was Damon Benning and Clinton Childs. They had high hopes that it wasn't going to caricature Phillips.

I was literally shocked how fair the piece was.

Of the thousands of words written over the last 20 years combining the words LP and Nebraska, this was the first I can remember when they actually showed some semblance of balance.

Good for ESPN.

Actually surprised , was waiting for the blatant hit piece. Nice to finally see the LP story being put out not as an indictment of NU or TO, but as a tragedy for a young man who because of circumstances never learned to recognize the value of the opportunities he was given.
