These numbers are just stupid

19 td's with a team that had NO DEFENSE.......none

Ganz was incredible and his numbers will be much better next year without BC and his clown act.

I guess I got to ask the Husker fans around here what kind of Numbers do you expect the Huskers to put up next year?????

and Lee is also goin to be fighting for playing time next year....you throw in a kid like Spano and Witt and things look really good at QB.

Don't know who, if anyone will challenge Ganz for the Job, but he is a stud who will tear up the Big12 Next year.

IMO, Lee will do MORE than just battle for a little playing time....... Ganz put up fantastic numbers....no doubt.......but, he played vs KSU (sucks) , CU (bowl team, but sucked)...also threw very, very costly int. that probably lead to our loss, and and vs KU (very good, but that game turned into a track meet, that KU was never in jeopardy of losing......

So yes, I am very impressed with Joey, but let's not over-hype the guy..... My guess is that Lee will battle tooth and nail with him.....Joey knows the system, and I love the kid, but I want to see him beat out the competition at NU, and then stay consistant (unlike CU game) vs our schedule...

Wonder what numbers he would have put up vs USC, MU, WF......may have done better than Keller, but maybe not....

I just think Lee has the tools to be a stud, and if it weren't for injury, he may have made noise this year, but in the long run, he will be better for sitting and learning the system.

Yeah honestly I really don't know if Ganz will even start this year...

come on guys........i know it is cold outside and it is fun to muse....but we don't have any Heisman quality guys on our team right now.

I always get entertained when we all talk about guys starting or getting playing time that most of us have never seen play. I remember one poster who talked about how Ganz sucked and would never start for us ....and admited later he did not even watch the Spring game, thus had never seen him play.

Now, back to the subject...I was impressed with Ganz last year but he did not have the playing time to even be considered a candidate for Heisman.

Let's not forget that he might lose his best running back and loses his best receiver. Course play calling will be a lot better hopefully. I say open the competition and maybe we see the QB of the future.

I wouldn't call Lucky a running back, more of a receiving back. If I was in charge and Lucky stays I'd try and talk him into catches passes, like Texas Tech's Crabtree and Amendola. Let a back that runs into the line instead of dancing through it. Just my .02.

I have a feeling Ganz may not start, just because they will be looking towards building to the future, which is too bad for him. Ganz is a class guy, he in many ways deserves to get his shot...but if it is the best thing for the program is another story. It is kind of like bringing in these JC players....they aren't here long enough to be a long term fix, just a short one that steals playing time from the ones that worked their butts off to A) get to come to Nebraska, and B) learn the system here at Nebraska and wait patiently for their shot to play.

I am not a fan of the JC recruiting...don't think it is fair to the guys that have been here for a while.

Ganz has been here...but you have to do what is good for the long term interests of the University. If it comes to be that Ganz is the best prepared to take the role, you bet your a$$ that I will back him 100%, I just don't think that is how it will work out.

I don't think we can say that we are out of the race next year. I know, nobody was showing promise this year, except for Lucky after his first game numbers. You just never know, we are DUE for someone to blow up in key position.

:bonez :steam :steam :bonez

I'd like to think this could happen but let's not be overly optimistic. I'd rather think that we will be improved and competitive in all our games and of course the QB will be a big part of this. We will certainly know a lot more on the day of:

The First Annual Husker Board Spring Whoop It UP and Party On Dude Party

If Joey has the same production next year as he did this year he's got a chance of putting up some pretty unbelievable numbers. He could turn into a dark horse candidate, especially if the defense improves like some people seem to think it will. I doubt he'll get many votes though.

heisman? Hmm.. I think it would be an achievement if Ganz was 1st or 2nd team all Big 12.

Bradford - OU

Daniel - Mizzou

McCoy - Texas

Harrell - Tex Tech

Reesing - KU

Robinson - OSU

McGee - TA&M

Hawkins - CU

Freeman - KSU

Might want to wait and see if he starts first!! And maybe wait until he plays a few downs.

I think the ganzinator WILL start, I dunno if he'll do well under the new regime, that has yet to be determined.

Hell, the offense has yet to be determined. Everyone is guessing right now.

GO BO!!
