Ganz's Decisions

Ganz acknowledged at the press conference today he needs to make better decisions such as throwing the ball away instead of taking a sack.

I think Ganz needs to work on his focus. He plays well at stretches then he either gets too confident or loses focus by throwing to a guy triple covered.

His height is an issue with the number of balls he's had batted down at the line. Part of that rests on the O-Line but Ganz has to be aware of what his pass lanes are.

If Ganz can reign himself in and stay consistant I think he can help carry the team down the stretch.

Joey has a huge heart. He has talent, but unfortunately not enough to put the team on his shoulders as he has tried to.

He doesn't have enough experience, either.

I love the kid, and am glad that we have him.

BUT, Spano or Green are gonna make us forget him...IMO. Well, not forget, but not necessarily remember him like we do other past NU QB's.

I'd love for you to be right, but then again after watching our QB's spiral downward it's hard to be this optimistic. First, we have this highly sought after Beck kid. Then we get all jacked up about Freeman. Then, we get all jacked up about Gabbert. Ganz is really the only QB that's put in his time here. I still believe we are making a huge mistake by not getting Witt and Lee more involved this year. At what point in the Mizzou game did we really think we had a legitimate shot at coming back? Mizzou pulled Chase at the end of the 3rd qtr. Why didn't we get Witt and Lee in there in the 4th? Inexperience is gonna kill us once again next year at QB.

The only thing I can think of is that the coaching staff is thinking that the QB they want to take over next year is not here yet.

If that's not the case, then it makes no sense at all.
