Poor Gene! Instead of paying another stud QB to come and save the day, he instead tried to develop a HS recruit! Maybe he can give Iowa a shot when captain Kirk gets his walking papers!

 
Gene Chizik was a bad hire from day one, and this is what happens when fans and schools demand and look for the instant gratification model of success in college football. It's these kinds of things that reinforce my belief that Bo is the right guy for the job and will lead us to where we want to be, but it hasn't and won't happen overnight, and we don't want it to.

We are Nebraska. We want to, and need to, do things the right way, which, in 2012, means doing things very differently than what we see as "success" happening around us.

 
I'm watching College Gameday Final's "Final Verdict" about Auburn. Holtz just said "Chizek runs a honest program". I can't believe Holtz actually believes Chizek runs a "honest program"
