Give Wake some credit

Even though i was cursing after every play. i give the WF all the credit in the world they came into this game thinking that these guys aint giving us a chance, so what did they do they came out and fought and fought and almost came out with a W. So we are lucky to be comming home with a 2-0 record

Wake played a very good game IMO. They found and exploited a weakness in our defense (and offense). They played an extremely well game.

Keller... owes Bowman a big fat juicy steak dinner for that INT in the endzone after WF's fumble/int recovery.

I made the same comment about Keller owing Bowman a steak dinner!!!! chuckleshuffle

And I agree with your 1st paragraph wholeheartedly. Jim Grobe is a GREAT coach!

I will give WF credit for running three plays and making the "D" look stupid for most of the game.

you know that guy that coached us about 10 years ago ran a really "simple" offense too...... seemed to work OK, and gave lots of defensive coordinators fits.

I will give Wake Forest credit. Most definately. ACC Champs a year ago was earned, regardless. They are tough at home. And I will give the Huskers credit for going out on the road and winning this game. That's something we have not done consistenly, so you cant take a win for granted.

There is a lot of reason for concern because Wake should get credit for being more physical than us. That is a big concern. I expected their front 7 to be tough but their O-Line beat us up also. That is a concern regardless of who you give the credit to. Let's not forget they ran for 2 yards against BC and we ga ve up 236.

You've got to be kidding me, you think TO's offense was simple?

Well no reason to go any further with this then

Hodge could give Skinner a run for his money, honestly. And he did last year, but he got hurt in the midst of their competition. This was a good team, a tough road win and excellent experience for us overall. Let's not make our next tough road trip the same way. There are games against Mizzou, Kansas, and CU looming.

I agree with I bleed Red. We did not look strong on the field. I noticed Lucky and Bowman really sucking wind. I think possibly the heat/humidity had something to do with it to. Bowman actually looked sick.

I am not making excuses for the team. I am happy with the win. But I wonder if we will hear some things we don't know yet, possibly later in the week.

do you know what quotation marks are?

I thought that might be what you were trying to say but the statement contradicts the quotation marks.

No sweat...

They were a quality opponent. They earned everything out there. It's not like this was The Alaskan School of the Blind, they're the defending ACC champs and they played in a BCS bowl last year. And lost a close one to Louisville.

The outcome today didn't really surprise me. I think we should have played better, but it still didn't surprise me.
I agree they are a quality team. Playing against another team from a BCS conference is never a cake walk to start with.
