Glenn's F-BOMB

I was lucky enough to be sitting about 20 feet from that corner of the end zone (we had 5 yard line seats, 4 rows up from the field - jealous? HA)

I heard him yell it clear as day - it fired me up - bad word, but AWESOME moment to be right there and watch him mow over that little D-back, score, then yell. Awesome!

PS. As a sidenote, I feel that everyone should attend a game at Kyle Field. Absoluting incredible environment. I will post a full review of our Fri - Sun in College Station visit later today. Highly recommend going if you ever get the chance.

I'm sure that I'll get flamed for this, but what makes this a good thing? I love passion in our players also, but coming from someone who has children watching the game, I was upset that he couldn't watch his mouth. I think he should have showed a little respect for the 1000's of fans watching the game.

Let the flaming begin!

Actually, ABC could get fined for it. Didn't Bono throw the F word on a music awards show a few years back, and if memory serves, NBC had to pay a fine. It's great to see the enthusiasm, but I have to agree with muzic, I'm not sure this was entirely appropriate.

I don't think it should be Glenn's responsiblity to control his language but it is more on the shoulders of ABC to catch that and cut it out. Itsn't that why they have tape delay?

You can wish they wouldn't say it all you want, but when people play sports and get emotional, 99% of them swear. It has nothing to do with disrespecting people, fans, playing to the cameras or anything like that. It's 100% about emotion and they often don't realize who is around/watching when they say it. It just come out because they're running on pure adrenaline and emotion.

if you can read lips, you can see the f bomb on every football game by the coaches on the sidelines. I dont see it as a big deal.

No excuses but that kind of language is almost commonplace. Many people use the word in place of gosh or golly or gee or damn or crap or etc. $0.02

I thought it was no big deal. If ABC wants to bring in the sounds of the game, well there you go. Seems like the mics are all over the place.

That run was so amazing, I yelled back F/CK YAH! Then I got flagged for unsportsmanlike fan conduct from my guests.

Swearing is part of sports really..almost every game in any sport from high school and up has words like that..the game is so taxing on the body and brain that these things will happen..i almost guarantee that somebody says that on almost every play in a football game

Very true. There is a lot of raw emotion being displayed. Sometimes the camera happens to be there at the wrong time.

Keep the mic's off the field.

It's a bad word...and kids are watching a game where everyone is trying to whip the other person....which is worse? haha

I guess I'm just still one of those people who thinks that swearing is a bad thing, and that people, not networks are responsible for their own actions. Obviously I'm in the minority here, and that's ok, I still love the Huskers! GBR

The mic's were all over the field . They picked up Fran complaining about something to the sideline judge. He said something to the effect "I do this every week sir!". For whatever reason, their mic's were tuned in a little more sensitive than normal I guess. You could hear a lot of stuff. Hell, I wished just one time they would run a game with out broadcasters and just let the mics on the field do the job so you can hear the sounds of the game
