One of the guys called in and made a good point. The kids these day come to Nebraska to get to the NFL.............in the past they came to Nebraska to play for Nebraska!!! Where's the tradition going???

Say like a picture of Mr. Franklin if BC manages to get a Husker team to finish in the top 10 within the next (God forbid he's here that long) ten years. No need to belittle those of us who saw this coming from the get go. Talk about Waaaa.

By the way, is your future sight as reliable as those guys who 5 years into the Osborne regime were calling for his head?

Christian Peter said that McKeon should just walk off of the team, that there is no excuse for comments like those. This is Div 1 football. This is Nebraska. The Blackshirts should be stripped from the players after what they did this weekend. It was a disgrace. I played for the tradition, for the guy next to me, for the Blackshirts that came before me.

Mike Minter-a slap in the face for Zac Bowman to strip off his blackshirt as a leader and not have the other leaders on the defense not to follow his lead.

Biggest thing that I got from this was------there is nothing that we can do about this, the 5 of us talking about this is not going to do anything. These guys have to go out and fix it themselves, and fight like men.

like i said, this is gen x kids we have here now. it is not just football, it is in every walk of life and profession.

there are far more kids who want everything handed to them and few left that understand or aspire to traditions that require comittment or just plain hard work. takes a helluva coach to get the most out of the kids now too. coz just can't get 'er done.

Call me a yes man if you want. I could give a sh#t. What I am is a man who knows what he knows and what he doesn't know. I do know that former players ARE welcome to visit when they want. Fact. Sign, sealed and delivered. sh#t, wasn't Will Shields at practice recently?

Listening to what Broderick Thomas said today on the radio further solidified my opinion that he's quite good at sensationalizing his opinion, making it easily digested by those who are disposed that way anyway. Makes for good radio, that's for sure. He, like any fan or former player, is entitled to his opinion but just because he yells and sensationalizes his opinion doesn't mean it means more than mine, yours or that guys.

Broderic was always fun to listen to..You never knew if he was just "funning you" or if he really believed some of the things he said.

Looking forward to hearing the podcast, though..I have a feeling they are going to change my mind a little.
