My dad was high ranked in the army and I got asked out a lot to go on dates. However, to get his permission to go out, was another thing lol. I was very close to my dad. He bought me a horse and I rode it and I rode quarterhorses that a friend had. I could tame a wild horse and I was never scared! Started riding when I was probably 7 or less. My dad took
me fishing, but, I could only go if I learned to bait a hook and I did! Anyway, I laughed so hard when I found this song! My dad was a farmer and he owned a business. I talk a lot lol. This poor guy likes the farmers daughter and I can only imagine what he had to go through to be with her!

I've not heard the "Farmers Daughter Song". A very fun tune!
