Going to Missouri game ..need help :)

Hi All,

Thought i'd seek help from my Husker friends here... i just found out that im going to the Nebraska Missouri game this year.. 2nd game this year for me which is very rare..

here is the stuff i need help with...

Im flying into Kansas city and driving a rental car from there.. i know its about 3.5 hours.. Does anyone know what time the game is starting.. and how long before the game should i leave KC to get to Lincoln on time... Any good tips from KC people on the best way to get to lincoln from KC

#2.. I am debating staying in KC and not staying in lincoln... has anyone else done this and how did it work out for you?

#3, if i decide to stay in KC Fri afternoon (Anything to do that is fun near the International Airport?)

nah, you'll make it to Lincoln in 3 hours or less. It's real easy getting there from KCI...just hit up I-29 North right outside the airport and follow that to the Nebraska City exit...then follow the rest of Mapquest's directions.

There's not to much to do right around the airport since it's still about 20 min. from actual downtown KC. You could hit up Barrywoods that has some restaurants, shops and a movie theater. The casinos aren't too far either if you like that sort of thing.

I don't think the game time has been decided yet, but I'd say leave at least 4-5 hours before game time in order to get parking and get to the stadium. Personally I'd opt to just stay in Lincoln and hang out there before the game. That's what I'm doing for the KU game when I go up.

 
On a sort of side note, the sports radio talk show host who also happens to be a sportscaster for a local news channel said he would put Mizzou's talent above NU's at this point. He has no faith NU will win this weekend and that our talent level is 5 times less than it was when Osborne was coach.
