Goodluck Saturday

Go Pokes

Walk-on
Hello Husker Fans,

Just wanted to stop by and wish you all good luck saturday. You all have an excellent squad and we have a talented group of kids that is unproven. I think this is the toughest matchup for us all year, because of your GREAT defense and always deadly offense. I can only hope your last trip to Stillwater will be a loss, but im not gonna bet the farm.

Hope all the Husker fans traveling to Stillwater have safe travels and are treated like Nebraska treats their fans. You all are my second favorite fanbase in the Big 12 and im sad to see you all go, but business is business! Good luck again!

CH

Thanks. This is going to be a very interesting game. It should tell both teams a lot about themselves. We haven't faced an offense like yours (despite the hype surrounding Washington), and you haven't faced a defense like ours. I see this coming down to which team's "weak spot" matches up against the other team's - our offense verses your defense.

As always, I hope for a well-played game, with no injuries to either side.

And a Husker victory, of course...

And good luck to you.

I'm really interested to see the Blackmon vs. Amukamara matchup. Should be a good game.

In reality, I just don't see OSU trying to play the game through the air. They ran the ball 42 times last Saturday and I expect nothing less this week. This will be the best secondary they face all year and probably the best corner they face all year.

The best way for Nebraska to beat opponents is to make them throw the ball. Keep them in third and long situations. OSU's run defense is also very poor statistically, so I'm not as worried about this game as I have been in previous years. OSU has a good squad but on paper, I like Nebraska's chances against a defense that isn't performing all too well.

I think the pass D is the problem with OSU'S D.. Of all the games this year the problem has been the pass D. ( Young corners and safeties, our DC doesnt feel comfortable with them "on a island" so he has been playing alot of soft zone with safety's over the top).

Im afraid that you all will have success throwing early, and in turn will help open the run game, which will be awful!

Trouble is, sometimes our OC refuses to do what you would think SHOULD work. We just do the same thing over and over hoping for a different result each time.

No doubt this is gonna be an entertaining game, just like it's always been between NU and OSU. I bet we see another classic offensive shootout that goes down the wire. This one could very easily depend on the legs of Henery or OSU's kicker, Bailey, arguably two of the best kickers in the country.

Hopefully we can play some defense that can stop the run. Compton and David with Gomes, should able to help stop the run with our front 4.
