Goodman cited for assault

Goodman's transfer is probably based on the assault plus some terrible advice. I don't think he was in the competition for a starting position this spring, which says something about his abilities.

He wants to be a starting QB in a DivIA program that will showcase his talent for the NFL. I am not sure how that will ever happen now.

He should have stayed in wrestling, where he was dominating.

Nebraska reserve QB transferring

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- Ryan Goodman, a two-sport athlete for Nebraska, is transferring to North Carolina State, the school said Thursday.

Goodman redshirted last wrestling season at 197 pounds and was a reserve quarterback for the Huskers' football team. He will sit out the 2005 football season at N.C. State per NCAA transfer rules, but will join the wrestling team after football season and could contribute immediately as a redshirt freshman.

At Absegami High School in Egg Harbor City, N.J., the 6-foot-2 Goodman threw for 3,108 yards and ran for 1,300 more in his four-year football career. In wrestling, he set a state record for victories and ended his career with a 72-match winning streak.
