Fwiw,

95% of Buckeye fans are classy fans. Unfortunately tonight I ran into that 5%

I had a Husker tshirt on. I was already on my way out of the bar when this fellow just laid into me. "Get the (expletive) out of here! Nebraska sucks! Your in Columbus, OH (expletive)!

I gave the dude a dirty look and I left. Just don't have time for nonsense. Of course I could have said something but it would have probably opened up a can of worms.

Just thought I'd share.

 
Twelve hours later I'm still thinking about the incident. "How dare thy wear another school's color in thou holy city of Columbus! RAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Give me the head of a pig!"

Dude was so insulted.

 
Yeah, every fanbase has a small subset of asshats. But for some fanbases it's a relatively larger subset. I think the fanbases of Colorado, the Whorns and the top half of the SEC are worse that tOSU. Probably.

I can say my one experience with Columbus was unpleasant, bunch of rude sketchhy a$$hole$. Also Dimebag was killed there.

 
Eh - wear Hawkeye gear around Lincoln and you get a lot of the same thing. Granted you also get a some nice conversations started with cool football fans.
