Well my soon-to-be fiance, who comes from the heart of Hawkeye country, has been converted into a die-hard Husker fan. She drove from Moline, IL to Lincoln for fan day just to get Burkhead's autograph, has spent hundreds of dollars (and we're both poor college kids, so thats saying something) on 'skers gear, and is making an annual tradition out of getting us tickets to the Heroes Game for my birthday just so that we can rub it in their faces that she is now one of us! Hallelujah! God is good!

And your not concerned she's willing to drive 6 hours one way to visit with Rex?

Quad Cities! Nice! That's where my wife went to college. But then, mine's been a lifelong Huskers fan anyway, growing up in Lincoln. She went there to get away from the rents for college. Loved the college too, though.

I'm not trying to diminish your wife's dedication to our team, but, I came home a month ago and my wife told me she had ordered her Nebraska gear for the year from Victoria secret. I'm just saying.

my wife did the exact same thing. she actually bought a new one for our new house. she did not say it was game time, but we both did begin to chant "husker house".

The wife did make me put on a husker jersey and she put on her old high school cheerleading uniform and asked me to role play with her.....<tongue in cheek>

I gotta say....that was the one time I didn't mind missing a quarter of football....just sayin
