Great night!!!

So I've been sicker than hell for 2 weeks now and I thought it's just a cold let it run its course because that's what the doctors going to tell you. Well tonight in class my throat starting hurting so freakin bad I finally went outside and grabbed my flashlight to see what it looked like in the mirror. It was so swollen it was actually closing up the back of my throat!!! So I had to go to the ER and get some antibiotics and some Tylenol 3 for pain!!!! So I'm kinda loopy on Tylenol 3 right now and my throat feels like I'm swallowing glass!!!! :madash

Well they said all of the lympnodes (spl) were swolling and that it was either Mono or strep. The tests said negative on both, but the doctor is going to treat it as a case of bad strep throat. I guess next time I feel like crap I'll go to the doctor and save myself the ER trip. :angry:

man, whenever I'm at home with a 24 hour flu or bad cold when my throat is really hurting...I always lay in bed freaking out that it might be strep or mono. Wondering if I should get to the hospital or one of those urgent care centers.

And of course, I'm such a cheapskate that I would rather be in pain all night long than run to the drug store for medicine....lol

Bro... I went to work Sunday knowing that what I had to do could cost my company an account if it didnt get done.

About two hours in my left lower back starting hurting terribly.

I finished my job having to sit in the elevator between floors.

I got to the er in so much pain , I was hyperventalating. Im no puss, it hurt WAY bad.

I had a 4mm kidney stone. I dont know if anyone else has experienced this but it is the worst pain I ever had.

So BRI Iam in the same boat as you bro. Hope your feeling better??

Been there and done that! I woke up one morning with the discomfort in my side and back (thinking just a UTI) and went to work. I planned on going to Urgent Care on my lunch break. Wrong! The pain was so bad I didn't wait until lunch. Diagnosis: kidney stone. But they gave me THREE pain shots and I had to call my son to come to get me. The best part is..........they made me pass the stone! Worst pain I think I've ever had. Ya know HSKRNOKC..........they say the pain is equivelant to childbirth! Now you know what we girls go through!!! Seriously, hope you feel better!

You should have stayed out of the rain and not gotten soaked the other night! Hope it's not strep! I think you should stay home this weekend and listen to the game. I'll write you a Doctor excuse if you need one!

Never had kidney stones, but I've had both strep and mono. Sucks.

That sounds good!!! :lol: My wife had a kidney stone about a year ago...............I've never seen anyone in so much pain. We don't know if she ever passed it and she hasn't had the pain since. She was talking to me and everything and the doctor gave her some pain shot and she went into lala land. It was hilarious!!! :lol:

That is some serious pain brotha. I passed one - it was the size of a grapefruit.

Just kidding! Actually I thought I had a kidney stone a few years ago. But after going to my doctor, a kidney specialist, taking Intravenous pyelogram (IVP) where they put dye into the vein of your arm & it moves to the kidney & can be seen with Xrays. That part was pretty cool. I asked the technician what that thick lining was around my mid section and he said muscle. I was like "right on". Anyway it was never diagnosed as a stone. But the pain was so severe, I was hoped up on vicadin and prescribed steroids for a few weeks. I couldnt even move a quarter of an inch without that sharp knife pain in my lower back. I even slept on a chair sitting up for 8 straight days. That was pain I wouldnt wish upon my worse enemy. The pain killers made me loopy enough to sleep a few hours at a time but not rid the pain. Rough time.
