2002 Diedrick had 980 yds on 179 carries (Lord had 1708 on 296 carries)

2001 Diedrick had 1319 yds on 233 carries (Crouch had 1261 on 203 carries)

Crouch wasn’t the problem.

/btw. I agree that Diedrick was underrated. He just wasn't the back that Rozier was.

Lord did play a number of years in the NFL. He was a safety. Drafted by the Texans in the 6th round; played two years, signed with the Colts, but cut shortly after.
