groin

So I get out of the shower and notice that some point between yesterday and today I developed a large purple bruise on my groin. Not really noticing any pain with movement or resistance however. Slight swelling and the bruise itself is tender. Anyone have any idea what it could be? Wondering if I tweaked it this morning doing legs

There's a lot of jokes that could be made here, but I'll steer clear.

I have had groin troubles in the past, but it was painful with movement, that's strange that just the bruise is sore.

If it looks nasty and you legitimately have no idea what it's from I would agree with posters #3 and 4, although I might wait a day or two and see if it starts healing.

A big hell and no on the wait, I'd rather go there and have them tell me it's nothing, than wait a day or so, and find out your sh*ts all f*cked up...

Maybe a fungal infection? But I agree you should get it checked out if you aren't sure what it is.

I will develop a bruise on my groin if I go with an extra wide stance on squats. Really stretches the groin and hips doing it.

If you haven't changed your stance on lifting any, definitely go get it checked out.

Wondering if that was it, figure I will give it today to see if it gets better or gets worse

You don't recall any acute pain when "doing legs" recently?

Could be just a muscle tear. Going to a doctor will likely just cost you money for him to tell you what you already know. You pulled something and you need to rehab it. Which doesn't mean sitting on it. If it's not painful to move, then keep working.

My legs are always sore after leg day. But no I don't recall any acute pain. Perhaps I had a little wider stance etc that someone previously mentioned.
