In the top of the 4th, Howell got a strikeout looking and a fly out for the first two outs. Kivett walked, Santigate singled advancing Kivett to third. Santigate advanced to second on a wild pitch, Kivett scored. Fisher struck out swinging to end the top half.

In the bottom of the 4th, Headley struck out looking and Reveles popped out to 1B. Boldt singled. Placzek doubled advancing Boldt to third. Placzek advanced to third on a balk, Boldt scored. Pritchard got a bunt single, scoring Placzek. Kelly then flied out.
