GT: NCAA Tournament - 11 Nebraska vs 6 Baylor - 11:40AM - truTV

Final score is almost a moral victory considering how this game played out. The officials didn't help, but NU lost this one with poor shooting from the field and the line.

Petteway should have fouled out in solidarity at the end

I like this team. They'll have to work hard to get back here next year, and hopefully show up better. That first half was brutal.

I get that basketball is pretty much the Art of Fouling, but how many times did we see both teams get called in the middle of play for minor contact that nobody noticed and didn't interrupt the flow of the game? It was egregious. Something was up with the officials today, but of course the Huskers also broke down early and lost their composure.

There's not enough let 'em play in basketball. And for such a close-up, physical game, I don't understand why any rules makers or refs seem to think this is a good way to go.

Just said by Husker Sports Network by the assistant coach of what the ref said. "I thought he was attacking me, sorry Tim I can't take it back." That is f\#cking pathetic by the ref.

Final free throw count: Baylor 48, Nebraska 16. Fouls: Baylor 16, Nebraska 31 plus technical fouls. Enuff said. It reminds me of A&M vs. Huskers five years ago. Good ol' Texass boys (crooked refs)

That's it?

Oops, my bad, you're still ejected? Sorry, that just can't go without post game consequences for the ref. Like he said - he can't take it back. Gotta own up to it.

48 free throw attempts by Baylor, how can you win against that?
Over half of their points from the line, and they're not that good of a free throw shooting team.

But, the refs didn't beat us, piss poor shooting in the first half did.
This ^^^^^ (but the refs didn't help)

Sometimes I question our basketball IQ...............everyone knew the plan was to attack the rim (like the first possession), but then we settle for 3's???

I also wish we had shown more agressiveness in ALL areas........even our jump shots were passive ..........not aggressive at all. Not saying we should shoot early, just shoot and play with agressiveness.

Felt also that Walt (once a few shots didn't go in), lost confidence and passed things up and it showed defensively as well.

Too bad, Baylor was beatable today and now it will be a long off-season until the August Australia trip.

Yeah, that killed me. We could be driving to the basket but the first half was just three after three after three. Looked desperate. And of course, they weren't landing.
