Yes they can. Just not during live action. He can and did call dead ball timeouts.

I think they still can but only at certain times of the game...not live action like when a guy is diving on a ball

Right. I didn't know when you were wanting him to call timeout. He could call timeout at some point during their big run (if that's what you meant) but couldn't call time out to save a possession during a live ball.

Yeah...after they scored like 10 times in a row...he should have been calling TO's

I agree with your player assessment, but I'd have McVeigh continue to come off the bench, to give us some scoring pop and energy off the bench. If your bench players are Webster, Parker, Hammond, Fuller (at least so far) there is no scoring punch to go to at all. McVeigh could still play more minutes than the starter.

Wow. The first 12 mins we looked good outside of a few bad 3's. Then with 8 mins left we started to play like last year. No ball movement, bad shots, no attempt to drive to the rim, 2 passes and shoot some crazy 3. Hopefully they will figure things out before it's too late. You can not go 7 mins without scoring. Unacceptable

I think this is one of those games where the athleticism of our team showed in the first 12 minutes. Then the youth showed up when Villanova called a time out and made adjustments.

Then yes, they panicked and White went stone cold.
