GT: Nebraska at Illinois - 8PM - BTN

I think most of us were hoping to make the CBI. This is Miles second year. We were not going to win 9 straight. Barely any teams can do that. MSU, Michigan, Wisky, ohio state. Iowa all say hi.

 
All is not lost.....that wasn't pretty, but we got it out of our systems. Sometimes losing can teach more than winning.

 
Road games are tough. Look at us at home. Rims are different, the court is different, and people yelling in your face. We shot bad. I think this loss could actually spark our guys. This team won't cripple. I think NW should be terrified.

I have been wondering this for awhile but hated to say it. The NCAA Tourney would be nice but I'm not sure this team wouldn't be better getting a good seed in the NIT and make a run there with a home game or two. I think that would breed some more confidence than an underdog role in the NCAA away from PBA.

 
We don't have enough outside shooting to fall in love with the three ball when it's not falling. 3-13 (23%) from deep not only isn't good but then we're not getting any free throws (6-7) because we're not attacking the rim.

Definitely agree with this. All the tourney talk might have impacted their effort tonight (which was woeful). Time to work on reality.

 
It was an off night. No offense to Illinois, but we lose against every big ten team when we play like that....

Frustrating loss, but we can learn from this, We had our heads down/ Terran didnt have the composure we need from him.

We sucked but it was one game and we can move on. This hurts our tourney hopes but doesnt demolish them.

 
If someone said we start the year 0-4 and ask if I'd take 8-7 would I take it, I'd say yes in a heartbeat. I would take 6-9 if they offered it. We are finally coming together. The wait until next year is cliche for football but it really applies here too. The chemistry will be insane next year and with everyone coming back we will make the tourney.
