Interesting sidebar..........Phillips spent 3 years under Miles as an assistant...........and they are considered best friends.

Could be in for a defensive struggle. I believe this is the same team that held Louisville to 45 points @ Louisville

This is a bit of a make/break game...I don't know if NU can survive another "bad" loss with the Big Ten being down this year...there are not many "good" wins to be had in conference with the exception Wisconsin...

OSU/MSU/Maryland will be solid wins for sure...

Rutgers, PSU (probably), Northwestern and Purdue will/could all be bad losses.

Minny, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan will all be games that outside of a conference win, will not be a huge impact as a good/bad loss

We're at least looking like a basketball team today. I think this team will heat up, just like they did last year. We have the shooting, it just goes cold for several minute stretches... Find a way to fix that and it'll be lights out.

Playing a little better today. Still having long scoring droughts. I think we need to start recording a pump fake stat. This team pump fakes more than any other team I have ever seen.

Tarin Smith is starting to show flashes of being good. We really need him to. Petteway/Shields looking more like their old selves. Hopefully we can carry some momentum into conference.
