Last night's "Sports night" on AM 1400 There was an interview with Alex Gordon. In it, He Guaranteed a Championship at the CWS!

Having confidence is a must, but thanks for the target, Alex Let's get one win first...huh?

 
Wow. I agree lek4cubs, I like the confidence but thats pretty brazen considering we're 0 for the CWS so far. Not to mention the extra pressure this just added, which there already is a massive amount of for the hometown boys.

Oh well, when we take home the hardware Gordon will become a hero. Heres to making AG look like a psychic!! :cheers

I don't have a problem with this what so ever. He is the best player in the nation he has earned the right to say stuff like this. If in 94 Frazier guaranteed a victory over Miami everyone would of had major wood. If they don't win it all Alex is a big boy he can handle what people will say. Crap how many people actually heard this radio show anyway? Do you think anyone from Tulane was listening to this? They already have a target on their back, they are the Second highest seed in the freakin CWS.

guaranteed? dunno about that, but right now the Huskers are on a roll.

maybe this year, all the stars and planets are in alignment and will walk away with everything.

that would be sweet.
