I'm going to Chicago in late Feb for work.

Y'all got some tips for a southern boy on how to keep warm in the Midwestern cold?

Wear Layers.....lots of layers! Also try to find a coat that lets the least amount of wind through! :thumbs
A hat helps - a lot of heat escapes from your scalp. Oh, and while it isn't related to keeping warm, you'll soon find that lip balm and lotion for your hands is a good thing...

Thanks guys!!! I just looked it up and it's -11 degrees in Chicago now. It was 15 degrees here this am, and I was freezing to death. Couldn't even pee off the back porch! So it's 25 degrees below what it is here!!! I'm gonna be in trouble.

hmmmm.....it was every bit of -7 here in ames yesterday! and -22 overnight with a windchill of like -50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wow it was cold.

I'm scared.

I'm gonna step off the plane and my undercarriage isn't gonna know what to do. It's never been in cold weather like that.

It was -16 here last night, I suggest burning something right next to you while your walking! This weather sucks, with the windchill it was -40 for two days in a row.

:) 80 :nutz :rollin

it pays to wear a hat and gloves in cold weather

Haven't seen the plus side of the thermometer for several days. This weather stinks... STINKS!!!

The best way to keep warm in Chicago is to only go there in July or August.

Basically you are going to get cold no matter what you do. Sorry that is just the way it is.

Using Y'all in downtown Chicago is a good way to stay warm. Also, dress in layers. Fleece is a great layering material to be worn under a coat. Also, get a hat. A lot of warmth escapes from your head if left uncovered.

In addition to layering you should also invest in a pair of gloves, and a scarf.
