I understand vertical concepts and I especially love hitting the seam with the slot WR or TE. Tommy missed a few of those TE vertical seam routes that would have been really big plays. (once again, True acknowledging there is fault with nearly everyone including Tommy, this will be ignored by many).

It falls on a lot of things. QB, WR's, Coaches. Group effort really. I don't know what they worked on and how much they worked on but listening to people that do know, you get the impression they tried to do too much. It would explain why many things looked very sloppy.

Yea, we looked good sometimes. Other times not so good. Personally, I was very critical of somethings, and I have praised other things. I always felt like we had the potential to be better.

We never really took that next step and it was hard to find improvements from year to year, thus we are where we are.

However, it is obviously correlated to every aspect of the game (d scores, st scores, field position, snaps, opponents, overtimes, ............................

Might sound weird but if you want to use one stat to rank the offense, scoring would definitely not be the best choice.

Kenny of course was often the target of the heave it deep offense. Anyone have a feel (or the data) of the success of that specifically with Kenny as the target? I recall he made a great catch at the back of the endzone in the the Iowa game with double coverage. NU would have lost without it (IMO).
