Who are the top 5 players on your watch list for spring ball and why?
Mine:
Kyler Reed - Just heard Mike'l Severe predict him as a future all-american at TE on the radio. Add in the rumors about him switching to LB and i think it will be interesting to see what happens with this guy. He clearly has all the skills, so what are they going to do with them? Now that talks about the QB controversy have cooled, other guys will be interesting to watch.
Anthony Blue - Coming off of an ACL injury I think it will be very interesting how he does this spring. Something that makes it more interesting is the number of incoming freshman we have at his position. Will this motivate him? I have heard they are moving Eric Hagg to Safety, so the same guys that predicted Kyler Reed's future talked about how that must mean Blue is going to be ready to go. I have to agree with that, but I think how this guy does will be very important to the impact incoming freshman make and the competition at the position with Gomes coming in. I hope he is a stud.
Baker Steinkuhler - Everyone wants to know if he is going to live up to the hype. I want to know who will be starting opposite Suh next year. Will it be this guy? If not, then what should we expect from him in the future? I am excited to hear where he stands after spring ball.
Phillip Dillard - Everyone talks about the new guys coming in at LB. i have heard some say they don't think Dillard will start. That is crazy to me, so i am curious to see how Dillard makes the defense his own. I would love to see him have an awesome spring and exhibit some leadership. Suh will be the leader on D, but Dillard will need to have a voice as well as a senior.
Roy Helu Jr. - I am counting on the RBs to be responsible for a lot of yards next year, and this guy has the highest expectations. I want to know he does the spring and if he comes out the clear #1 back. I don't think he will, but I want to hear that he is absolutely tearing it up since I feel like we will rely heavily on the running game next year, especially early in the season.
Honorable mention: Alonzo Whaley, Josh Williams, Cameron Meredith, Kody Spano
