Half-time score

Am I wrong, or is the Baylor game the first game that we have come back after a half-time deficit since Frank Solich was coach?

That is a big step in the right direction!
Agree it is a big step only because it was against Baylor and we were only down 3.

But here's an argument that it could be a HUGE step. I saw adjustments at half vs NMS and especially Texas Tech that were made and our 2nd half play was much better. ISU made some changes in the 3rd quarter but again adjustments were made and we took control eventually and controlled the 4th.

An interesting stat would be how many leads did we LOSE at half and lost a game under Solich and Callahan?

Another point is with some of these turnarounds at half, are we starting to get better in the weight room and conditioning?

Just some items to ponder...

While the never winning when trailing at the half under Cally thing was pretty pathetic, its not like we never came back on anyone, the comebacks we did have just took place after halftime.

but still, nice to have it snapped :)

I am really looking forward to watching this team get more refined as the year goes on and see them execute on a consistent basis.

Pelini is the man. Interesting IF Watson does go at years end who we will come up with and what scheme they will run.

I count 3 under Callahan: Texas and CU last year, Okie St the year before.

I counted 4 under Solich. CU in 2002, Texas 1999, K State and Arizona in 1998.

I didn't count Solich's 2nd half wins from behind, and I don't guarantee my counts are right.

I was going to make the same point as the General, we did have some (not many) 2nd half come from behind wins under Callahan, where we gave up a halftime lead (or tie) but still won.

Making the right adjustments at half time is something we haven't seen since TO prowled the sidelines, he was a master at it. Awesome to see coaches thinking during the game again. Callahan rather prefered to keep banging his head on the wall whether the game plan was working or not.

VA Fan, thank you! for your research...it confirms that Bo and his coordinators may be making adjustments to the positive where I saw negatives going back to the darkside of Solich and Callahan eras.

These magic adjustments at half time are overrated.

All the times Bo has been asked about these "adjustments", he says they maybe changed one thing but the difference was the players just played better.

You know, I've always felt the same. If it's that wrong that an adjustment needs to be made, then why not get that done in-game? But that aside, we have had very strong 4th quarter runs statistically this year.
