Halftime thoughts NU v ISU

1. The offense is performing better than they have in the previous 3 games. That being said, if this is how this offense is "supposed" to work, then it is rather unwatchable, IMO. Its as boring as watching a Big 10 team. I'll trade Barneyball for the entire offensive staff.

2. Its getting more and more obvious that Dyches was "Daileyed" this year. Whomever said that Congdon is NFL ready is out of their mind.

3. Defense is playing nicely.

4. IMO, ISU is not a top 25 caliber team. Nice team who should play in a bowl, but not great. Their last 2 games werent impressive, and Iowa is not as good as thought.

Ya'll may not like it, but this is how I see this game.

Lets start the second half :thumbs

Yeah those 432 yards 2 TD's and NO PICKS were just horrible weren't there??!!! :WTH Man why do you even bother to post on here other then to display your negativity of Nebraska Football! If you want Barneyball so bad I am sure the Cyclone fans could use ya because we sure don't! I bet it just eats at you when the Huskers post yet another win against a team under Callahan and Pederson! :clap

Then don't watch. It's as simple as that. Can't remember who it was that said (and i believe it was Bernard) that Texas Tech's offense was fun to watch when it came to passing the ball. Considering both of you agree 99% of the time on the same thing, the "LOGOCIAL" explaination is that you back his opinion, meaning you probably think Tech's offense is fun to watch. If Tech's offense is enjoyable to watch putting up 400+ yards a game, then all of a sudden Nebraska's offense isn't enjoyable now that we put up 400+ yards passing? :dumdum

I'll trade Barneyball for the entire offensive staff
Which Barney ball is that? The one that just lost? :rollin

Sorry, but yeah, watching a team throw 56 times a game is not all that enjoyable, especially when the defense they are facing is poor against the run (Army) and your team has a good RB (Ross).

BTW, I have never said that Tech's O is fun to watch, but it is more enjoyable than what we have witnessed for the past 15 games.

Sure, I like that Barneyball, the one that just put up 350+ yards on the vaunted Blackshirts. Besides, I wouldnt talk about losing much, as NU is coming off of a 5-6 season

BTW, its nice to see that you are wrong again, as I dont agree with Benard very often. But then again ###### :dumdum being wrong....... :rollin

right..and if my aunt had balls, she would be my uncle. I would go through the posts of you backing up Bernard so many times on negative opinions but why bother? Everyone knows it already without me having to do it. Oh by the way..Nebraska just scored another touchdown on your Barney Ball .... :clap

Like i said (for the second time since you don't seem to understand). Don't watch, it's that simple. It really is simple.

Formerfan your such a JOKE! Despite what you post I think the Huskers are right on track!

Oh and you want to talk about passing so much. Being your a former fan and all. Lets look at when we lost under the SOLICH ERA. This is where running the ball gets ya.

NEBRASKA IOWA ST

First downs 10 23

Rushed-yards 30-81 52-192

Passing yards 192 220

Sacked-yards lost 2-11 0-0

Return yards 21 72

Passes 12-29-1 19-32-2

Punts 5-47.2 2-26.5

Fumbles-lost 5-4 2-1

Penalties-yards 10-75 4-20

Time of possession 22:29 37:31

Hmmm we ran the ball 52 times for 192 yards. So you say you think passing 50 times is boring but running it 52 times for a Big ole 192 isn't? Again you make NO SENSE! With that lets look at the final score shall we????

ISU 36 NEB 14!!!!

Seriously guys, just ignore him for the time being. He is just here to piss people off and not let us enjoy the win. Don't let him get under your skin. This board needs an ignore feature

Really, I think your spelling is a JOKE

So they now have one nice game :thumbs and they may have pushed their average yards per game above 300 yards. Dont get ahead of yourself, Turbo.

Really?? Under Solich, NU went 58-19, and under TO it was 255-49, primarily running the ball. I know its not QUITE as good as billy c's 9-6 record, but those 300 wins were okay, I guess :sarcasm

Goddamnit you two!

Former, gotta say I disagree with you there, I love watching my team not only put up more than 400 yards after 3 horrendous offensive games but I also love to watch them with their 4th game in a row.

1) But didn't win the game. Who cares?

2) Which team is 4-0 this year?

I agree with you about Congdon and the calibur of ISU, though. No doubt.

Nameless, seriously. Stop picking fights with Former. If you think Former and Benard have agreed on everything you haven't been paying attention. I don't think you have been since you missed that Former never even posted in that thread that I can see.

Yawn.......Keep living in that TO/Solich dream world! Click your heels three times and repeat after me. There is no place like home. There is no place like home. There is no place like home! Your the kinda guy that never let Clogs or ABBA go out of style too I bet. Didn't ya?

I am not going to get into this with you Jake. Stay out of it.
