Halftime thoughts NU v ISU

1. The offense is performing better than they have in the previous 3 games. That being said, if this is how this offense is "supposed" to work, then it is rather unwatchable, IMO. Its as boring as watching a Big 10 team. I'll trade Barneyball for the entire offensive staff.
Sorry man. You are way off base here. How is watching a team drive down the field 10 yards at time unwatchable? "Barney ball" is not really much different. Both teams heaved the ball A LOT today.

Barney Cotton can blow the "real big red" out of his a$$.

I always thought the fun part about college football was watching your favorite team play their a$$es off, fight through adversity, overcome mistakes and take home a win.

The game yesterday was awesome to watch IMO, mainly b/c those guys, especially Ross, deserve to feel invincible for at least one night. I really enjoy watching a good offense click - as long as my team isn't on the other side of it - maybe i'm stupid but i don't see how passing the ball for a 10-15 yard gain is any less exciting than running the ball for 10-15 yards. I almost lost my head on that screen pass. But hey, I don't get enough sleep on the weekends anyway, so maybe the rest of the season the games will put me to sleep.

Its just my opinion that 3-7 yd slants, outs, and crossing patterns are not all that exciting. That, and having 400 yds but only 13 points in regulation :WTH

Did it work well and was it nice to see it click, absolutely. Its just my personal preference.

I would disagree, they seemed to go downfield and use alot of different routes than NU.

True.

Meyers has one thing on Zac, and that's arm strength. It's not a hidden fact that Zac has problems throwing balls over 40 yards with accuracy, and that's why he doesn't throw a deep ball very often. Even the announcers yesterday commented on that when he tried a couple of deep balls. I am not going to hold that as a disadvtange against Zac. If Zac had Meyers arm sstrength, you would have seen Zac hitting those same routes ISU WR's were attacking.

Funny, because we I have heard from the coaches all year that ZT throws the long ball well. That was supposed to be one of the big difference between ZT and JD.

But from what I have seen during the games, it looks like he doesnt have a big-time arm.

Check your spelling first. Second of all, i would like to see a link stating this as a fact quoted directly from the coaches and not from a newspaper writer like Tom "the stutter" Shatel or lee (BARF)neck or Sipple. I have read every single article during the off season and i don't recall any paper stating Zac throws a deep ball with accuracy 100 percent. Like i mentioned and you failed to read (as always is the case), Zac doesn't throw a deep ball often, but when he does, it's on the money (Mulkey pass against Pitts defense is an example).

The big difference between Zac and Dailey (as the coaches have stated several times) is that he progresses through his defensive reads and knows when NOT to throw the ball)

Sorry, I forgot the "s" in differences. Funny coming from a guy who can barely put together a legible sentence in English. :dumdum

I believe I heard it from either Kevin Kugler on 1620 or from the guy on MidAmerica sports nightly.

Im sure you have :sarcasm

and i don't recall
Thats nothing new.

And if you actually read my post, I never said that.

Really, then that is exactly opposite of this post of yours:

"It's not a hidden fact that Zac has problems throwing balls over 40 yards with accuracy, and that's why he doesn't throw a deep ball very often. "

Do you even read your own posts or just blindly post garbage in the hopes that someone will believe you???? :dumdum

Thats what they say, also.
