Has Any Member Ate At Famous Dave's???

Famous Dave's has just opened up where we live. I read the reviews of this restaurant and some were good but there were bad reviews too. Has anyone ate there and did you like it? My birthday will be coming up this month and we will go out to eat and had this place in mind...however..after reading the reviews...we are changing our minds. We went to a restaurant that we had never tried last year for my birthday and we left most all of our food on our plate and the service was terrible. We don't want the same thing happening this year so thought I would ask in here about this restaurant and see if anyone knows.

 
We have one in Sioux City.......I enjoy it. We don't go there often, but when we do, we've been quite pleased. They have a pretty extensive menu. I would recommend going there......if there is no better option.

 
I love me some famous Dave's. You better like BBQ if you want to go there, though. I think it is great. I could make a meal out of the cornbread muffins alone.

 
Famous Dave's is easily my favorite restaurant! I friggin love that joint. I love BBQ as it is, but Famous Dave's has the best ribs, brisket, pork and BBQ chicken I've ever eaten. Definitely go there.

 
Greatest restaurant EVAR! Well, maybe not but it is a great place to eat. I try to hit the one in Lincoln when ever I'm there for a game.

 
Good stuff. I cant say as anything I have had there wasnt great. The muffins and drunken apples rule for sides. Definatly try it out.

 
I usually do not like restaurant chains because quality suffers, but this one is a good one. Neely's BBQ in Memphis would be my first pick and Famous Dave's places a close second.

Is there such a thing as bad BBQ?
