Has BC or any of the coaching staff responded to Brian Hildebrand's remarks about the program being dishonest and having no "integrity"??

My guess is that the coaching staff will never respond to Brian Hildebrand's remarks.

They will let it die a quick death.

In reality, they probably need to work on Spin Control..Especially in dealing with potential recruits and their parents.

Integrity is VERY important when considering who to trust your Children to for 4-5 of the most formative years of your little Human's life.

No need chewing up a confused 20 year old and spitting him out through the media. It will accomplish nothing. NO ONE GETS PROMISED A SCHOLARSHIP IF THEY ARE WALKING ON, AND ESPECIALLY IF THEY DON'T PERFORM WELL IN PRACTICE, THEY DON'T DESERVE ONE!!!!!

No and they won't. Why should they? Did they reply to the Andy Birkels and the Joe Daileys?

Exactly!!!! Hildebrand is just a little upset/jealous that he was not good enough for the Huskers!!!

Wether he was good enough for the Huskers or not, I would like to know if there is any truth to his statement that he was recruited with the understanding he would be under scholarship in the spring of 07.

In his own words when he came on board:

"Well, I graduated (from Corona High School) in 2004," Hildebrand said. "I'm going in a little bit late. I'll be a redshirt sophomore. I think I am walking on this first semester for sure and then who knows. But, yeah, I'm going in as a walk-on."

so, "and then who knows" now has become "they promised me a scholly"??

if he was promised a scholly in '07, why would he say "and then who knows"?

IMO, "and then who knows" sounds more like they told him possibilities of what *could* happen in '07, not promises of what would be handed to him regardless.

remember Keller is a walk-on this year as well, that is why he is not practicing with the team anymore while classes are out.
