According to his post-game press conference, he took it very personally. I can only imagine how hard he will personally work the team this week.

They definitely came to play, I'll give them that. I hate games against teams like SDSU. We have nothing to gain and everything to lose. We notched another W in our belt this year, though. I'll take an ugly win over a pretty loss anyday. Hats off to those Jackrabbits. I feel like going hunting all of a sudden..

17 points vs SDSU LOL. But yeah I hope that's a reality check for the team. We can't play like that again and be successful this season.

Not only hats off to SDSU as a team, but hats off to their coaches for getting them up for this game. Not one of the Sun Belt teams we played last year came in to Lincoln to play like this. Not one of the two patsies we played earlier at home did. These guys and their coaches were ready to win this game.

But perhaps more impressive than the players and coaches were the SDSU fans, who came to Lincoln in droves for this game. Sections 38, 19 & 20 were almost entirely filled with Jackrabbits fans. Combine that with the traditional visitors sections in Section 21, and the generous sprinkling of Jackrabbit Blue you saw all around the stadium and it was clear that they traveled very well for this game. Sections 19 & 20 were especially loud this game, shockingly loud, and the Jackrabbits gave them plenty to cheer about.

This was a team, a coaching staff and a fanbase who came to Lincoln ready for a game. It's just too bad we didn't give them one.
