What Every State in the U.S. Is Worst at

December 17, 2014 www.yahoo.com

(edit: Here's a random sampling:)

Alabama: Most child smokers

Alaska: Highest chlamydia rate

Colorado: Greatest cocaine use

Georgia: Least integrity

Indiana: Most meth incidents

Iowa: Highest racial disparity in marijuana arrests

Louisiana: Highest murder rate

Michigan: Worst roads

Mississippi: Shortest life expectancy

Nebraska: Least furniture manufacturing

Worst at furniture making? Heh. I would have said tackling Melvin Gordon. But hey, that's just me.

Not WORST but LEAST amount...

Also, WTH didn't you include Texas in your list? This is priceless:

Texas: Fewest high school graduates per capita

Less than 80% of Texans have a high school diploma. It’s actually the only state that dips below 80%, too. Everything is bigger in Texas — including dropout rates, apparently.
Ha ha! I just don't pay much attention to Tejas I guess.

Mexican Eggnog with Cinnamon-Sugar Bacon

Total Time: About 1 day altogether
Yield: 6 (6-ounce) servings

Ingredients:
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup almond meal/flour
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 12 egg yolks
  • 2 cups spiced rum
  • 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 12 slices center-cut bacon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

Directions:
  1. Combine milk, granulated sugar, almond meal, vanilla, and cinnamon stick in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring constantly, for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
  2. Beat egg yolks until thick and light yellow. Remove the cinnamon stick from the milk mixture. Gradually whisk the egg yolks into the milk mixture.
  3. Return to low heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture is thick enough to coat a spoon, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
  4. Add rum to the mixture and stir well. Transfer to a glass container, cover tightly, and refrigerate overnight (or up to 2 days) before serving.
  5. Prepare the bacon about 20 minutes before serving. Preheat oven to 350℉. Line a baking sheet with foil and set a wire rack on top.
  6. Combine brown sugar and ground cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Dip bacon in the cinnamon-sugar, and spread the strips evenly on the rack. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until crispy.
  7. Pour eggnog into mugs, sprinkle with allspice, and serve with warm cinnamon-sugar bacon.

Kaley Cuoco: I like coming home and serving my husband

by Antoinette Bueno, Dec 30th 2014 12:24PM

<snip>

"I love that. I know it sounds old-fashioned, but I like the idea of women taking care of their men. I'm so in control of my work that I like coming home and serving him. My mom was like that, so I think it kind of rubbed off."
