Asked fiancé to get saltines on his grocery trip. He bought:

(As luck would have it I really like sardines)

 
My mom had my dad cook dinner one night when they were first married. Dad, at that time, did not cook. The recipe was a bolognese sauce, which calls for heavy whipping cream. Dad didn't know any better and used whipped cream (the stuff you put on pie).

Mom gets home, we eat, and it's a little off. A little sweet. But not terrible. Mom asked dad what he'd put in it and when he told her they figured it out.
